P1 READING TIPS

Here are some tips to help your children read better in time for P1 in 2014

  • Set aside 15 minutes a day
  • Sit down with your child
  • Let him pick a book of his choice
  • Have him read aloud clearly
  • Help him with words he has difficulty pronouncing
  • Do not allow him to simply gloss over words he does not know
  • Remember that it is better to spend short daily sessions reading with kids than long sessions which may bore them in the beginning
  • It will be easier for the child to pick up reading  as he gets used to it later on a step-by-step basis.

We are pleased to say that our P1 Prep Program has been successfully launched. This week our students in the Advanced Class started on their compositions where they learnt to inculcate all the basic rules that they had learnt from earlier sessions.

They also learnt how to express themselves in a creative manner through our teachers' guidance.
Our curriculum also consists of an early introduction to science as well as Arts & Crafts. Students enjoy a holistic environment to learn and grow.
